Woods Yard

Woods yard started as a rundown stone barn with semi derelict out buildings which we renovated into a modern functioning home whilst retaining as much of the original character as possible. The main challenge was to create a link between the two buildings working closely with Architects One 17 a curved link became the preferred solution. With stone to the rear, oak trusses and oak framed glass to the courtyard garden area. A light and airy home was created.

Croft House

The former village surgery is currently undertaking a total refurbishment and transformation back to its period status. Four apartments are being formed each comprising of one bedroom with shower room and open plan living/ dining area.

These will be available to rent early Summer 2022.

Within the former carpark we are building a pair of semi-detached houses with open plan living and three bedrooms. Each having a garden area and parking for 2 cars.

We like a challenge!

From the road it would appear we had purchased a rather nice looking stone wall. Behind the façade lay the redundant former village public toilets which were closed and blocked up in the 80’s.

Plans were submitted for the conversion and addition of a second storey. Using the original stone, larch timber, core ten steel and a sedum roof Kirklees planning department on this occasion had some vision and granted permission for what’s become a go too place to enjoy locally produced burgers!
